Operation Manual
FT1020G3 Rev 2.10.4
A fan reset switch is provided to independently restore the fan status to the non-alarm
condition as required by AS1670.1:2015 section 7 i.e. reset the alarm in the FDCIE will not
restore the fans to the non-fire condition until the reset switch is pressed.
Two new features are added in the new 19” rack version:
1. Added a fan phase fault LED for each fan to indicate a phase failure in one of the
phases suppling power to the fan. The Phase fail fault indicator conforms to the
requirements of AS1670.1:2015 clause 7.15.6. Same LED exists in the damper
module to indicate power loss to the damper.
2. A common fire mode indicator is added to each module to indicate general fire
alarm.
A remotely located (mechanical services) 4461 module is required for each fan/damper
and configured in the control panel using control type “Fire Ventilation” in EBLWin.
For standard fan configuration e.g. smoke exhaust fans, the
standard
mode can be used
to program 4461, only one relay required to start / stop the fan whilst for more configuration
options e.g. supply air fans, the
enhanced
mode is used to provide separate relays to start
and stop the fan.
Controls and indicators of the fan module are explained in EBLWin “Help” and drawings
Note
: label of damper control module is different to indicate damper status and controls
and configured separately on the EBLWin.

LED indicator & buttons
Indicating
FIRE MODE General fire mode - Red Illuminates to indicate general fire.
RUN
Fan running - Red
Illuminates to indicate fan running.
STOP
Fan stopped - Green
Illuminates when the fan is stopped.
FAULT
Fan fault - Yellow
Illuminates when the signal to change the fan status is
restored, either via manual override switch or by the
FDCIE in Auto mode but the feedback signal
confirming the change of state has not been received
by 4461 input connected to the fan pressure switch or
CT within 30 seconds
OR
:
There is an open circuit in the 4461 supervised input
where the feedback from the pressure switch is
connected
OR
The pressure switch is faulty
Ǿ
FLT
Phase fault - Yellow
Illuminates in case of fan power phase failure
ON
LED – Red
Indicates manual start when the “On” button is pressed
Button
Manual override control to start up the fan
manually irrespective of any alarm condition
in the FDCIE.
AUTO
LED – Green
Indicates “Auto” position of the button, normal operation
Button
Pressed to put the fan in “Auto” mode i.e. the fan may
run or stop automatically depending on the alarm
condition in the FDCIE
OFF
LED - Yellow
Indicates “Off” position of the button, fan stops
manually
Button
Manual override control to stop the fan if it is running
irrespective of any alarm condition in FDCIE.
