- Fix the blender jug on to the motor base and make sure it is securely in place. If necessary,
gently move the jug sideways.
- Plug the power cord into the mains supply.
- Place the ingredients in the jug and hold the lid down with your hand.
- Blend the food and drinks. Turn the speed selector to switch on the blender.
- Before removing the jug, always switch off the blender and wait until the blades have stopped
rotating.
- To remove the jug once the ingredients have been blended, lift directly up from the base. If
the jug cannot be removed easily, gently rock sideways without rotating it.
- Never fix the jug to the blender unit when the motor base is switched on.
SPEEDS
The variable speed settings are 1, 2 and “TURBO”. “TURBO” is a controlled blending operating
cycle i.e. the blender will only operate while the selector setting is turned in a counter-clockwise
direction. The other two speed settings are automatic blending operating cycles, which is why
the blender will operate at the selected pre-programmed speed until the selector switch rotates
back to the OFF “0” position.
AUTOMATIC BLENDING OPERATING CYCLE
Hold the jug lid down with your hand. To operate the blender, turn the selector switch in a
clockwise direction until the desired speed is reached.
Maximum continuous cycle time: 3 minutes.
Minimum standing time before blending again: 1 minute. Can be repeated a maximum of 10
times.
CONTROLLED BLENDING OPERATING CYCLE
Hold the jug lid down with your hand. Turn the selector switch in a counter-clockwise direction
until the “TURBO” setting is reached and keep turned in this position for about 2 seconds.
Release the selector switch and allow the blades to stop spinning. Repeat the blending cycles
until the ingredients have reached the desired consistency. To stop the cycle, simply release the
“TURBO” selector switch.
NOTE:
1. The “TURBO” button can be pressed down for a further 2 seconds if required.
2. The coffee grinder will operate for 30 seconds or until the coffee beans (not more than 40 g)
are completely ground. The grinding cycle operates three times with 5 minute standing times.
Pay particular attention to the grinder standing times.
BLENDING TIPS
- If blending hot foods or drinks in the blender, liquid can shoot out on removing the lid. Always
remove the filler cap from the lid before blending hot food or liquids.
- To add food while the blender is operating, remove the filler cap from the lid and pour the
ingredients through the opening.
- If you use the blender to make sauces or other recipes with tomatoes, onions or other
vegetables, for best results use a low power speed setting.
- If the appliance stops blending or if the ingredients stick to the sides of the jug, switch off the
blender, remove the lid and use a rubber spatula to move the mixture towards the blades.
- Do not store food or liquids in the blender jug.
- Do not bang or allow the blender to fall.
HOW TO CLEAN
1. Unplug the blender from the mains supply.
2. Remove the jug from the motor base. Take off the lid and add a capful of washing liquid by
using a few drops of dishwasher detergent mixed with a cup of cold water. Wash and rinse
the inside of the jug and the lid in order remove as much leftover food or drink as possible.
Empty the jug.
3. Add more washing liquid and put the lid on to the jug; fix the jug on to the motor base and
operate at maximum speed for two minutes and wait for 1 minute.
4. Remove the lid and repeat the procedure as described above using clean water instead of the
washing liquid. Empty, rinse and dry the unit before storing.
5. Wipe the motor base and the power cord with a damp cloth or a sponge. To remove stubborn
stains, use mild, non-abrasive detergents.
6. Do not wash the plastic jug or the lid in the dishwasher or do not leave them soaking.
7. When washing the jug, do not attempt to dismantle the blades from the blade assembly unit.
