Things to Check First
If an error occurs, check the following items and take corrective measures if
required.
Check the EJ1G operating status by looking at the indicators.
If the ERR indicator is lit, cycle the EJ1G power supply. If the ERR indicator
does not light when power comes back ON, check for noise as the cause
of the error and take countermeasures.
Check the switch settings and wiring.
• Power Supply
• Is the power turned ON?
• Is the power supply voltage within the allowable range?
• Switches
• Are the switch settings correct for the system being used?
• Wiring
• Is the terminal block correctly wired?
• Is the polarity correct?
• Are any wires disconnected?
• Are any wires or cables broken or touching?
• Communications Conditions
• Do the communications conditions match those of the host system?
If none of these check items needs correction or the error is not cleared even
after performing the above checks, use the communications function to inves-
tigate in more detail.
Check the EJ1G status. Find the cause of the error based on the data read by
the EJ1G, then correct the error.
If the cause of the error is still not clear after checking all these items, infer the
cause from the current situation and try countermeasures.
Check the indicators.
Check the switches
and wiring.
Determine the error
from the status.
Determine the error from
