Section 11-1
Error Code:
Errors and Remedies
1,2,3...
1.
DM Setting Error
If an error has occurred when the High-speed Counter Unit is turned ON
or restarted, check the error code in word n+7 to correct the data in the DM.
Turn ON or restart the High-speed Counter Unit after correcting the data.
2.
Counter Overflow
If a counter overflow has occurred, check with word n+6 bit 04 or 12 the
counter that caused the overflow and reset the counter.
3.
Data Transfer Error
If an error has occurred during data transfer, the data in the High-speed
Counter Unit has not been changed. Therefore transfer the error clear
command “EC” by executing the data transfer or IOWR instruction, correct
the data, and then execute data transfer again.
If an error has occurred when the IOWR instruction is executed, the data
in the High-speed Counter Unit has been changed. Therefore execute the

DM setting error
The upper and lower limit range or the sign used for the upper or lower limit is incorrect.
11
The value is an invalid BCD value or 0.
12
The sign used for the count value is incorrect, the count value is not within a range of
–8,388,608 and 8,388,607 in linear mode, or the count value is not within a range of 0 to
65,535 in circular mode. For the preset mode, it means that the count value is less than 1
or more than 8,388,607.
13
The upper limit is smaller than the lower limit.
14
The operating mode set in the DM is different from the setting of the MODE switch on the
front panel of the Unit.
15
The wrong operating mode is selected.
16
The output mode (NPN or PNP) setting in the DM is different from the setting of the switch
on the rear panel of the Unit, the BCD/Hexadecimal mode setting is incorrect, or the exter-
nal forced output setting is incorrect.
17
The input mode setting is wrong.
18
The reset mode is invalid.
19
The maximum count value in circular mode is invalid.
21
IOWR/IORD error The number of data blocks transferred with the IOWR or IORD instruction is invalid.
22
The control code of the IOWR or IORD instruction is invalid or the specified address is in an
inhibited area.
23
The data was not transferred with the IOWR instruction because the data was incorrect.
32
Data transfer
error
The preset value number specified with the data transfer command is invalid or the preset
value number at the start of counting is invalid.
33
The count value or range specified with the data transfer command is invalid.
34
The PC’s first word specified with the data transfer command is invalid.
