Default settings
The settings that are automatically selected when the machine is turned on or an auto
panel reset operation is performed are called the “default settings”. These settings
serve as a reference for all functions.

The default settings can be changed from Utility mode. (Refer to page 6-2.)
Automatically clearing settings (auto panel reset)
With the auto panel reset operation, all functions and modes are reset to their default
settings after copying or after a specified length of time has passed after the last op-
eration is finished. (Default setting: 1 minute)

The length of time until the auto panel reset operation is performed can be set to
30 seconds or a setting between 1 and 5 minutes.
In addition, the auto panel reset operation can be disabled.
