4.3. First-time Power-up
Powering up the system
Verify that all the mechanical and electrical installation steps are completed and the Battery
Control Panel is connected to the Stack Switchgear units, network, and power.
When ready to power on the Battery Control Panel, toggle the power switch to the 'ON' position.
The 'Power LED' besides the switch should light up, followed by the touchscreen display on the
front of the unit.
The Battery Control Panel will emit a 4-tone startup chime when low-level software has started.
This will be followed by a 3-tone chime once all software has been initialized. The Nuvation Energy
BMS Operator Interface will become visible shortly after this chime.
When toggling the power switch, ensure that it remains in the 'OFF' position for 30
seconds. This will allow the unit to completely power down.
Cycling the power of Battery Control Panel on and off 10 times in a row, without the
unit starting up completely, will restore the unit to a factory default state. If this is
not intended, please ensure that the unit is fully powered up before power cycling.
In the event the unit is reset to factory defaults, please contact
to bring the unit back to a functional state.
Viewing the Dashboard
Once the system is fully booted up, the dashboard will load on the touchscreen display.
