Installing and Operating the Passport 5430 Multiservice Access Switch

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the adapter
module that you want to remove

(Figure 10-5)

Removing the Adapter Module Screw

Pull the adapter module toward you to detach it from the module
connector in the Passport 5430 chassis.

Grasp the adapter module’s metal tab,

(Figure 10-5)

, or insert a thin tool (such

as a flat-tip screwdriver) in the slot on the tab.

Be prepared to apply some force, but stop pulling as soon as the adapter
module is free from the base module connector.

Slide the adapter module all the way out of the slot.

Place the adapter module in an antistatic bag.
