Starting the Passport 5430

Runs an abbreviated set of diagnostic 
tests on FRU1 and FRU2 specified as 
follows:
•

cpu

 (system processor card)

•

ssdb (ATM T1/E1) 

•

cmodem (console modem)

•

sdb

n (WAN adapter module)

n = 1,2, or 3 indicating the slot 
number of the WAN adapter module. 
NOTE: 1 is labeled as Module 3 on 
the chassis; 2 is labeled as Module 4 
on the chassis.

•

cpci

n (expansion card)

n = 2, 3, or 4 indicating the PCI slot
number of the expansion card.

•

pmc

n@n (dual synchronous PMC) 

The first

 n = 1 or 2 indicating the PMC 

module number. The second 

n = 2, 3, 

or 4 indicating the PCI slot number of 
the expansion card.

You must specify 1 as the slot ID.

If you specify a FRU and then enter 
diags1, an abbreviated set of diagnostics 
will run on the specified FRU.

If you do not specify a FRU, an 
abbreviated set of diagnostic tests will run 
on all of the FRUs. These tests take 1 
minute to test the system processor card 
and up to 30 seconds for each additional 
FRU to complete.
