About User Management
By default, user management (system security) is not enabled or enforced.
There are three levels of user management:
None , Operator , and
Technician .
The following table details security for the following:

When user management is enabled, a padlock icon appears next to
menu items that require security. A pop up message appears, prompting
you to enter the appropriate Operator or Technician password.

When you enable user management, it is for both Operator and
Technician. You cannot enforce one without the other.
S
To enable or disable user management requires the technician
password.
S
A Technician password can be used to access Operator tasks.
S
There is no limit to the number of failed attempts to enter an Operator or
Technician password.
S
You can use the BBconn Cloud Application to customize Operator and
Technician privileges.
S
You cannot “secure” the melter on-demand. You must wait until the
Password Timeout Interval has elapsed for the melter to enforce
security again. The Timeout Interval defines the amount of time the
melter is unlocked, with your security credentials.

Password codes are numeric only, and can be from one-digit up to
four-digits long.
S
When resetting passwords, both the Operator and Technician password
codes are done at the same time. You cannot reset one password code
without the other.
