CHECKING ON- BOARD BATTERY CHARGER
SETTINGS
If your machine is equipped with the on- board
charger, the charger settings must be set for your
battery type before charging. Failure to properly
set will result in battery damage.
To determine your battery type, see battery label.
Contact your battery supplier if not specified.
To verify the setting of the charger, connect the
charger cord into an electrical receptacle. The
charger will display a sequence of codes. One of
the codes will either read “GEL” or “Acd”.
GEL = Set for sealed/maintenance free batteries.
Acd = Set for wet/lead acid batteries.
To change the charger’s setting to “GEL” or “Acd”,
unplug charger cord, peel up the corner of the
display label and set the switches accordingly.
The charger cord must be unplugged when
resetting
After charger is properly set for battery type, run
the Battery Select Mode (See BATTERY SELECT
MODE).
“Acd” = wet/lead acid
battery
“GEL” = sealed/AGM/
maintenance free battery
BATTERY SELECT MODE
Use the Battery Select Mode when changing to a
different battery type. This will reprogram the
machine’s control board to ensure the battery
discharge indicator operates according to battery
type. If not properly programmed, premature
battery damage my result.
1. To enter the Battery Select Mode, press and
hold the solution flow increase button (+)
while turning the key switch on. Release the
button when a LED on the battery discharge
indicator begins to blink.
2. Refer to the LEDs for battery selection
settings below. To select the proper battery
type, press the solution flow decrease button
(- ) to advance selection.
3. Turn key switch off to save setting.
