Refocusing
The stage can be retracted to a preset retracting position, and
then restored back to the original position.
Pressing the Escape button lowers the stage to the preset
retracting position while saving the position where the Escape
button is pressed. Press the Escape button again to restore the
stage to the memorized original position. This function is useful
for temporarily retracting the stage, for example when replacing
the specimen or when switching objectives.
The Escape button will light up when the objective is “retracted,”
and will be turned off otherwise.
When the stage is retracted, the elevating section cannot be
moved by turning the focus knobs.
