2-22 Setting System Parameters
Save Changes & Exit
After making your selections on the Setup menus, always
select Save Changes to make them operative.
After you save your selections, the program displays this
message:
Changes have been saved
Continue
If you attempt to exit without saving, the program asks if
you want to save before exiting.
During bootup, Setup attempts to load the values you
saved in NVRAM. If the values saved in NVRAM cause
the system boot to fail, reboot and press
F2
to enter Setup.
In Setup, you can load the ROM default values (as de-
scribed in “Get Default Values”) or try to change the val-
ues that caused the boot to fail.
Discard Changes & Exit
Use this option to exit Setup without recording any
changes you may have made.
Get Default Values
To load all the default Setup values in the Setup menus,
select Load ROM Default Values from the Main Menu.
The program displays this message:
Default values have been loaded!
Continue
If, during bootup, the BIOS program detects a problem in
the integrity of values stored in NVRAM, it displays these
messages:
System CMOS checksum bad - run SETUP
Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup
