System Board Jumpers
The system board has six configuration jumpers:

Clear CMOS jumper JBAT1

BIOS Recovery jumper J4

Keyboard Wake Up jumper JKBV1
!
Save to RAM (STR) jumper JP4
!
Onboard Audio jumper JP5
!
CPU Type jumper J23.
The preceding figure “System Board Jumper Locations” shows the locations of the jumpers on
the system board. To reset the jumpers, use the following procedure.
Before starting, we recommend that you first contact NECC for assistance (see Section 8 for
contact information).
Set the jumpers as follows.
Jumpers are set correctly at the factory for the system configuration.
Only change the appropriate jumper setting for your application. Otherwise, keep the jumpers at
their factory settings.

If you are going to perform a CMOS Clear or BIOS Recovery, we recommend that you first
access the BIOS Setup Utility and record any customized settings (see “BIOS Setup” in
Section 2).

Power off and unplug the system and any peripherals.
