Registering the E-mail Address of the Sender

From the “E-MAIL SETTING 1”
menu in the Utility mode, press the
[2] key on the 10-key pad to select
“E-MAIL ADDRESS”.

Enter the e-mail address of the
copier.

For information on entering text,
refer to
“Entering Text” on page 3-18
.

Up to 64 characters can be entered for the sender address.
H
Consult your network administrator for information about the e-mail
address to use.
H
If you do not receive e-mail on the copier, enter the e-mail address
of the administrator.

[3] key on the 10-key pad to select
“SMTP SERVER”.

Enter the IP address or host name
of the SMTP server.

For information on entering text,

.

Up to 64 characters can be entered for the host name.

The DNS settings must have been specified before the host name
for the SMTP server can be specified.

The illustration at the right is an example of a host name. Consult
your network administrator for details about this setting.
