5. 

Install the upgrade processor heat sink as follows.

n

 

Align the heat sink over the processor as shown in Figure Section 3-8.

n

 

Position the short end of the spring clip on the heat sink under the two tabs on
the socket.

Press down on the heat sink until the spring clip on the opposite end of the
heat sink is aligned with the two tabs on the socket.

Firmly press down on the heat sink until the spring clip snaps over the two
tabs on the socket.

6. 

Reconnect any cables that you may have disconnected.

7. 

Replace any removed expansion boards.

8. 

Turn the system unit upright and replace the top cover.
