Configuring the automatic error shutdown function

Users can Enable or disable the automatic error shutdown function of the specified channel using the
below given commands. Automatic Error shutdown function will disable the virtual channel when error
bits detected on the respective attached E1 links.

Command Description

Enter the global configuration mode

virtual-channel

<1-16>

error-

shutdown

{enable|disable}

To enable/disable automatic error shutdown function for
the selected virtual channel.

show virtual-channel

Shows the information of a selected Virtual channel

Example

: disable the automatic error shutdown function of inverse multiplexing channel 1.
