Setting the Display Backlight
The brightness of the main display backlight and the backlight during charging can be set.

From the Menu, select [Settings]
→
[Display]
→
[Displaylight] and press

[Adjust light]
: Set the main display brightness.
[Charging]
: Set whether to turn on the main display and keypad backlights when
an optional DC, car or other adapter is connected to the external
connection terminal.

Adjust the brightness at [Adjust light].

• Press
to increase the brightness and
to decrease it.
To reset to the default brightness
Press
(reset).

Select [ON]/[OFF] at [Charging].
The main display backlight is set.
Saving Power for the Display
The display is automatically turned off to save battery power when no operations are made
for a certain period of time. You can set the time before turning off the display, whether to
display the clock when the display is turned off and whether to flash the power saver
indicator.

[<Stand-by>]
: Set power saving for the display other than during a call
(during stand-by or i-mode communication).
[<Calling>]
: Set power saving for the display during a call.
[<Common Setting>]
: Set whether to flash the power saver indicator in green during
the Power saver mode when the Display type is [All screen
off].

Select [ON]/[OFF] of the Power saver mode at [Set].

Enter the time before turning off the display at [After].
Enter from 01 to 30 minutes.
