Placing/Receiving Calls
Improving Voice Clarity by Suppressing Background Noise
You can suppress background noise during a call (Noise reduction).

From the Menu, select [Settings]
→
[Call]
→
[Noise redct] and press
.
The Noise reduction display appears.
[Send]
: Suppress background noise around you during a call so that the recipient can hear your voice
clearly.
[Receive]
: Suppress background noise at the other end so that you can hear the recipient’s voice clearly.

Select the noise reduction level at [Send].
[Std]
: Adjust your voice so that the recipient can hear it clearly.
[High]
: Adjust your voice so that the recipient can hear it more clearly.

Select the noise reduction level at [Receive].
[Std]
: Adjust the recipient’s voice so that you can hear it more clearly.
[Low]
: Adjust the recipient’s voice so that you can hear it clearly.
The Noise reduction is set.
Using Hands-free Compatible Devices
By connecting the In-Car Hands-Free Kit 01 (optional) or other hands-free compatible
devices to the Mova, you can perform the operation of the Mova including placing or
receiving a call through them. For information on operating the hands-free compatible
devices, see the user’s manual of each device. To use the In-Car Hands-Free Kit 01 (optional)
with the Mova, the “mova In-Car Hands-Free Cable 01” (optional) is required.

Select [ON]/[OFF] and press

The Hands-free mode is set.

When you listen to the radio in a vehicle, reception may become noisy because of poor radio wave condition.
Also, do not receive AM broadcast with the in-car hands-free kit connected to the Mova. It may cause heavy
noise to be heard.

Mova’s operations for an incoming call, such as an image display and a ring tone follow the settings on the
Mova. However, if you set the Mova to sound a ring tone through the hands-free compatible devices, the ring
tone sounds for an incoming call regardless of the Manner Mode setting or even if you set the ring volume to
[OFF].
●
Mova’s operations for an incoming call during the Public mode (Driving mode) or while the Record message is
set follow the settings of the Public mode or the Record message respectively.
