Placing/Receiving Calls
Rejecting Calls When Driving or in Places Where Talking on a Mobile Phone Should Be Avoided
The Public mode (Driving mode) is an automated answering service designed focused on
manners in highly public places. When the Public mode (Driving mode) is set, the guidance
is played back to inform the caller that you are unable to answer the call because you are
driving or in a place where talking on a mobile phone should be avoided (trains, buses, or
movie theaters), and then the call is disconnected.
• The Public mode (Driving mode) can be set or reset even if “
” is displayed.
• The Public mode (Driving mode) cannot be used during data and fax communications.

Operations during the Public mode (Driving mode)
Mova’s operations for an incoming call during the Public mode (Driving mode) depend on what
Network Services are used, as follows.
●
When the Voice Mail Service is “ON”
• The ring tone does not sound when there is an incoming call. The message “Missed call X” appears in the
display and the call is saved in the Received record (P.40).
• The guidance is played back to inform the caller that the call is forwarded to the Voice Mail Service Center
because you are driving or in a place where using a mobile phone should be refrained from, and then the
call is connected to the Voice Mail Service Center.
• If the ring tone duration is set to 0 second in the Voice Mail Service, the message “Missed call X” does not
appear in the display and the call is not saved in the Received record. Not the guidance to inform the caller
that you are driving but the guidance that informs the call is connected to the Voice Mail Service Center is
played back.
●
When the Call Forwarding Service is “ON”
• The ring tone does not sound when there is an incoming call. The message “Missed call X” appears in the
display and the call is saved in the Received record.
• Whether the guidance to the caller is played back is determined by the setting made by “1429” of the Call
Forwarding Service. When set to “ON”, the guidance is played back to inform the caller that the call is
forwarded because you are driving or in a place where using a mobile phone should be refrained from.
When set to “OFF”, the guidance is not played back.
●
When the Caller ID Display Request Service is “ON”
• When you receive a “User unset” call, the caller ID request guidance is played back (the guidance for the
Public mode (Driving mode) is not played back).
