NeuroBlate® System Instructions for Use

Ensure that the LDP is fully engaged to the Probe Driver Follower prior to manipulating LDP 

in tissue 

•

 

Confirm by gently pulling back on the LDP to ensure it is properly locked in place 

•

 

Insert the tip of the sterile LDP into the APD/RPD Follower and into the brain until the LDP 

Locking Interface comes in contact with the Mating Adapter 

WARNING: 

Ensure there is a clear opening through the skull and dura to allow the 

probe to pass without resistance or trajectory deflection. Forcing the probe into the 

brain when resistance is felt can lead to Laser Probe tip fracture and result in patient 

injury. 

 

WARNING: 

To prevent patient injury after LDP insertion, carefully monitor the 

Connector Module cable bundle during any movement of the MRI table and ensure 

there is adequate slack in the cable bundle to prevent strain being placed on the 

Connector Module.  

 

WARNING:

 To prevent inadvertent linear movement of the Probe Driver Follower 

and potential patient injury, do not use excessive force during insertion and 

attachment of the LDP to the Probe Driver Follower.
