1.1.3 Features of Process CPU
The features specific to the Process CPU are described below.
(1) Additional 52 process control functions
Fifty-two instructions supporting high-leveled process controls have been added to
the CPU based on the High Performance model QCPU.

(2) Two-degree-of-freedom PID control system
The Two-degree-of-freedom PID control system has been adopted to enable optimum
responses to both set value changes and disturbance.
(3) Auto tuning function (PID constant initial value setting)
The auto tuning function enables automatic control parameter tuning, decreases the
tuning time and labor of operators and control engineers, and eliminates differences
between individuals in tuning results.
