8  Troubleshooting Based on Observed Symptoms

8-9-15

Checking the Fan Inverter Heatsink for Clogging

Check the fan inverter heatsink for clogging by removing part of the duct and checking inside the duct.

To remove the duct, follow the procedures 1) through 2) below.
Reassemble the components in the reverse order as they were removed.

1)  Remove the front service panel. 

Service panel

Top section of the duct

Remove the two 
screws holding the 
top section of the 
duct.

2)  Remove the upper section of the duct by unscrewing the screws on the control box shown in the figure below.
 

Check inside the duct for clogging, and remove any foreign objects found.
