6.5 Working with the manual feed unit
The manual feed unit is an optional accessory.
Work with the manual feed unit if you would only like to print a few pages
on special paper. Then the paper will not have to be loaded specially into
a tray. The manual feed unit does not support duplex printing.
Note the following points:
G Set paper of formats A4, letter or smaller in lengthwise along the
manual feed.
G Load custom sizes as envelopes into the manual feed unit
horizontally.
G Always load only one sheet of paper or one envelope at a time into the
manual feed.
G Note the important points on loading paper, see page 6-1.
To print paper that was feed in through the manual feed, proceed as
follows:
1 On the “Paper“ index card in the printer driver, select “Manual Paper
Source“ as the source of paper, see page 4-4.
2 Start your print job.
LOAD MANUAL FEED appears in the LCD display on the control
panel.
3 Fold open the manual feed unit.
