Programming Tip
This tip is true only for the first zone listed in the CBE equation of each
addressable initiating device. When the initiating device goes into alarm, the
20-character custom label for the addressable device displays on the first line of
the text of the DIA, and the 20-character custom label of the first zone listed in
the CBE of the device displays on the second line.
N7
Cooperative
Control-By-
Event*: 6=CCBE
For details on the use of CCBEs, see the
Cooperative Control-By-Event
and
IFC Panel CCBE Programming
sections in the
Metasys Intelligent Fire Network
Technical Bulletin (LIT-448196)
in the
IFC-1010/2020 Technical Manual
.
N8
Message:
7=MSG
This is the label that displays along with the
ALL SYSTEMS NORMAL
message.
N9
Detector
Sensitivity:
3=DSEN
The detector sensitivity levels for an ionization and a photo detector are
approximately equal to the following smoke density level, measured in percent
obscuration per foot:
Low
Medium
High
Ionization 3%
1.5%
1%
Photo
2%
1.5%
1%
These values represent the level at or above which the detector produces an
alarm.

Control-By-Event
Programming
For a description of a simplified programming method, called K.I.S.S.
programming, see the article titled IFC-2020 K.I.S.S. Programming, in the
filename “trblshot.doc” located in the Library section of the Fire and Security page
of
The Advisor
. See Solution A in Figure 81 in the
Programming Examples
section for an example of K.I.S.S Programming.
N12
Null
Control-By-Event
The CBE of the initiating device will not cause any zone or addressable control
device to be activated. However, if a CBE equation of a zone or control device
contains the SLC address of the initiating devices, the zone or control devises
CBE causes the zone or control device to be activated.
N13
Null
Control-By-Event
An exception would be if the power supply output is turned off when the system is
reset, such as is the case for Terminals 1 and 2 of TB3 on the MPS-24A.
N14
Null
Control-By-Event
See the Figure 62 in the
Monitor Module
section of the
Installing the
IFC-1010/2020 Technical Bulletin (LIT-448155)
in the
IFC-1010./2020 Technical
Manual
for an example of the application of the PWRC control module.

Programming/
Power Supplies
4=AVPS
Setting the number of AVPS-24 or APS-6R installed in the System parameter to 0
turns off the supervisor circuit. If any AVPS-24 or APS-6Rs are installed, set this
parameter to 1.
N17
NFPA Listings
Set the NFPA Listing to 72A when using the Block Acknowledge feature on the
Metasys Fire-Net not operated as a Proprietary Fire Alarm System. Set the NFPA
Listing to RCV when using the Receive mode feature on the Metasys Fire-Net
operated as a proprietary fire alarm system.

Programming:
2=FSYS
LIB Installation:
1=INST
Firmware revisions prior to Release Merge M2.8 of the IFC-1010 do not support
the LIB-200A and LIB-400 and are limited to 396 total points.
N19
Zone Boundary:
5=ZBND
The setting of the zone boundary at Z200 is completely arbitrary. The zone
boundary may be set at any zone from Z2 through Z239.
N20
Extended Local
Mode Operation
Extended Local Mode Operation is available with Release Merge M2.8 firmware.
