6. Safety precautions and warnings
The safety precautions and warnings printed here only
refer to the product itself. The
operator´s obligations,
especially with regard to
food hygiene
and
health
and safety
in the work place, may also apply, e.g. due
to general legal regulations. Such regulations are
published by the relevant state authorities not by the
machine manufacturers. With regard to legal
requirements concerning the machine´s construction,
MELITTA®
SystemService hereby guarantees full
compliance.
Please include the information gained from these
safety precautions and warnings in the operating
instructions given to your personnel and
self-service guests:

There is a
danger of scalding
in the
product
outlet area
when hot liquids are dispensed. This
is the case when …
–
drinks are dispensed,
–
the automatic cleaning process
is running,
– the
storage urn is automatically emptied
,
–
air is automatically removed
from the boiler.
Make sure that nobody puts their hand into the
product outlet area while the machine is switched
on, except of course to place or take away cups
and jugs in this case, the necessary protective
distances have been built into the machine´s
design.

When
placing the cleaning agent
in the
container to be cleaned, inattentive operation can
result in
mistakes
. Swallowing, breathing or
having skin contact with cleaning agents can
damage your health
.
Please ensure that cleaning agents are
never
placed in the
ground coffee container
for
example, by instructing personnel accordingly.
Ensure that all
information
regarding the cleaning
agent used
is easily available, also in
emergency situations
. Should you use the
MELITTA
®
cleaning agent recommended in the
“Cleaning” section of this manual, these
instructions are always provided.

In the case of malfunctioning, there can be a
danger of trapping
if someone puts their hand
into the
ground coffee or instant powder
containers
while the machine is switched on.
Please ensure that nobody puts their hand into the
containers while the machine is switched on.
There is no need to reach into any part of the
machine during operation.
