To check the slave malfunction diagnostics
, open or click on an Mbpoll window, select
Setup\Read\Write Definition from the menu bar, ensure that the settings are as follows,
and then click OK:

Remove one of the attached HART devices.
15.4.6
Verify that the corresponding slave malfunction bit (see Appendix J) changes to 1.
15.4.7
Reconnect the disconnected device.
15.4.8
Verify that the corresponding slave malfunction bit changes to 0.
