iPad Tray Insert Reinstall [for all iPads, except the original]
Here we will take a look at how to reinstall the iPad tray if it has been removed. Perhaps you made
the transition from the original iPad to the iPad 2 or iPad (3rd generation). Good choice! Or maybe – just
maybe – there’s an iPad that will be unveiled beyond the three that currently exist. The DL1608 is designed
to be a future-proof concept, accepting of the fact that there will (most likely) be new iPads unveiled.
If we need to create a new iPad tray for every future iPad, so be it. If we can, we will do it and we look
forward to the opportunity!
For now, though, the iPad tray insert
only
needs to be reinstalled if you are mixing with the iPad 2
or iPad (3rd generation). Here’s how to reinstall the iPad tray:
(1) remove the four screws from the DL1608 mixer, numbered 1 to 4 in the illustration below.
(2) slide the tray insert into the mixer as displayed below.
(3) put the screws back into the DL1608 from where you just removed them to hold the tray insert into place.
The iPad tray insert doesn’t need to be locked down If switching regularly between iPads.
Instead, hand-tighten the screws to the mixer before sliding the tray insert back in. This way
they can’t get lost and you’re still able to slide the tray in and out as needed.
