Additional front-facing camera lens icons

There are additional Settings icons speciﬁc to the front-facing camera lens.
The

Flash

icon

(on the viewﬁnder) uses the light from the touchscreen

to brighten your face. In the

Settings

, the

Mirror

icon

automatically mirrors the image viewed on the viewﬁnder (ﬂips the right
side to the left).

Gesture shot using the front-facing camera lens

The Gesture shot function allows you to take a picture with a simple hand
gesture.

This is ideal for taking selﬁes because there’s no awkward movement to
tap the

Capture

icon (or press the

Volume Down key

) to take the shot.

To take a photo with a gesture

1. Open the

Camera

application and activate the front-facing camera lens.

2. Hold an open palm in front of you until the front-facing camera lens

detects it (a box appears on the screen).

3. Make a ﬁst to start a countdown before the shot is taken (allowing you

time to position yourself).

Tap the Preview image to view the picture you just took.
