Pulsation system
The pulsation system (
9, fig. 5,
page 4-8) provides pressure changes in
both the 4Effect sleeve and the (teat cup) liners to massage the teats
and to open or close the milk sleeve (page 4-19). It has the following
parts:
•
4Effect pulsator
•
4Effect sleeves
•
Liner
•
Milk sleeve.
Milk collecting system
The tasks of the milk collecting system are:
•
to measure the milk quality
•
to collect the milk in a milk jar
•
to separate air from the milk
•
to provide in a vacuum buffer
•
to provide in a milk buffer
•
to measure the quantity of milk.
The milk collecting system has the following main parts (
fig. 5
, page 4-
8):
•
MQC-II (10)
The MQC-II continuously measures a number of milk values, like:
milk colour, conductivity, (dead) milk time, milk speed, milk volume,
milk flow, milk temperature and airflow. The measurement takes
place per cow's quarter. With a microphone air is detected between
the teat cups and milk jar.
•
The milk jar (3)
The milk jar
collects the milk during the milking, it also collects the
water during a rinse. The milk jar is located in the machine room at
the robot arm side of the ASTRONAUT
A3 Next
, behind the lower
cover.
•
The milk weight system
The milk weight system continuously measures the amount of
milk/water in the milk jar.
•
The butterfly valve
The butterfly valve is closed during the milking and opens when the
milk must be pumped into the milk tank. It also opens to when the
rinsing water must me pumped away.
Milk transport system
The milk transport system transports the milk to the milk tank.
The parts are:
•
Twin tube (
8, fig. 5,
page 4-8)
•
6 Folded tube (6)
•
Milk pump (4)
•
Milk filter.
