Forward voltage measurement
shows the model of the Model 2520 voltage measurement channel. This cir-
cuit has been optimized to capture the forward voltage drop across the laser diode while
minimizing the impact to the laser diode under test.
shows the recommended cable connections for pulse sourcing and forward
voltage measurement. Note that all shields are connected together at the laser diode. This
scheme provides the minimal impedance mismatch and shortest electrical length for the
pulse transmission path.
