SOLUTION A
Check if the diagnostic value of the resulting image
is sufficient. Take another image if needed.
Exposure button is pressed
CAUSE A
The exposure button is pressed after imaging has
ended or during startup.
SOLUTION A
Release the exposure button.
CAUSE B
Exposure button in stuck down, shorted or broken.
SOLUTION B
Check the exposure switch with a multimeter, re-
place if faulty.
CAUSE C
Faulty cable between EA300 Extension board
(JA301) and EA200 Connector board (JA204).
SOLUTION C
Check the cabling. Replace if needed.
CAUSE D
Faulty EA200 Connector board, EA300 extension
board or R3400 IO board.
SOLUTION D
Try to locate the failing board using a multimeter.
Replace faulty board(s).
Nasion support is in wrong position
CAUSE A
The cephalostat nasion support (ear holders) is not
rotated correctly for the selected imaging program.
SOLUTION A
Rotate the nasion support into correct position.
CAUSE B
The nasion support position detection is not detect-
ed correctly by the cephalostat CPU.
SOLUTION B
Check that the position detection micro switch is
activated / deactivated properly when the nasion
support is rotated. Check the cable between the mi-
cro switch and EG200/JG204. Check the serial
data line between EG200/JG205 and R3220/
J3213. Replace micro switch, cables or EG200 if
needed.
