Error 34 Movement of D (sensor)
motor failed
CAUSE A
The sensor is not rotating correctly.
SOLUTION A
The movement not working correctly may be due to
a fault in the
• motor,
• motor cable,
• R5100 Stepper driver module or the
• cable between the stepper driver module and the
CPU board.
In rare cases the Main CPU may also be faulty.
Use service command “drivemotor d manual” to
test whether the motor is working properly. If the
collimator is moving, the problem is probably in po-
sition detection ( see CAUSE B). Otherwise one of
the components listed above is faulty. Continue
with inspecting cables and connectors. Replace
parts one by one if needed.
CAUSE B
Position detection showing incorrect values.
SOLUTION B
Use service command “drivemotor d manual” and
the chin support up/down buttons to drive past the
positions where the opto/micro switches are acti-
vated/deactivated. Check for messages in the
s2terminal indicating the switches changing state.
If no such messages are seen, there is a problem
with the EG100 opto board, the sensor position mi-
croswitch MSW2 or the cable between the switches
and the EG200 XRAY IF board. If also motors C
and N are failing, the serial IO data cable between
EG200/J205 and R3220/J3213 may be faulty.
Check the parts listed and replace if needed.
