2 Measuring and configuration

2.1 Control unit service program
Error message Explanation/possible cause errors
SYSTEM ERROR 5 Checksum error in control.exe (internal test of
control.exe). The error is recognized by boot.exe, i.e.
control.is not started, and the laser turns off without an
error message. If the key-operated switch is pressed
down and held, the control computer switches to re‐
ceive mode (to download a new control.exe file).
SYSTEM ERROR 6 Error does not occur (reserve)
FOOT BUTTON NOT CONNECTED! Error in the I²C connection with the foot button/foot
button does not have any power/foot button is defec‐
tive/I²C interface is defective
CANNOT LOAD LANGUAGE FILE! Cannot load the language file *.stx/file deleted/faulty
DOC chip/unavailable file selected in service mode
CANNOT LOAD PROGRAM DATA! 1. Error reading EEPROM / I²C connection defective
(foot button improperly connected/defective?) / EE‐
PROM data damaged
2. Error reading user.dat/file destroyed or does not
exist -> standard initialisation required
SHUTTER ERROR Shutter status does not correspond to the control si‐
gnal/shutter not closed/shutter defective
ABSORBER ERROR Absorber status does not correspond to the control si‐
gnal/Absorber not closed/shutter defective
POWER SUPPLY ERROR Signal /NTready or/water from LNT does not corre‐
spond to the anticipated status/error in LNT/cooling
water temperature to high (LNT monitoring)
NO SIMMER CURRENT Signal/SimmerOk not active/Simmer chopped or not
triggered
ERROR IN COOLING CIRCUIT No water flow or cooling water temperature to high/flow
sensor not connected or defective/analogous tempe‐
rature signal Temp still too high after cooling mode
ERROR IN LASER POWER SUPPLY Signal/Water from LNT active/error in LNT/cooling wa‐
ter conductivity to high (LNT monitoring)
ERROR IN CHARGING CIRCUIT Charge not reached directly before the next laser pul‐

ERROR 18 Diagnodent current not received during operation
ENERGY CHANNEL DIFFERENCE TOO HIGH! Difference between measuring channels above 3%
ENERGY DEVIATION! LEVEL: SLIGHTLY POSITIVE Measured value deviation (average) exceeds the an‐
ticipated value by + 20% over several pulses. 5 of
these error messages cause the device to turn off.
