2 Measuring and configuration

2.1 Control unit service program

▶ Switch on the key-operated switch, turning as far to the right as possible.

The KaVo logo and the message “PLEASE WAIT“ are displayed briefly on the

touch screen display.

▶ Touch the top right-hand corner of the touch screen display.

The “STARTING SERVICE MODE“ message is then displayed.

The code field for the service mode is displayed:

Code field for service mode.

▶ Enter the code 240 275 for direct communication.

▶ Choose OK to confirm.

Contrary to the start of the service program, the code field continues to be displayed

on screen.

Alternative methods

Note

You can also directly communicate with the control computer in the following man‐

ner.

▶ Start up the KEY Laser in service mode.

▶ Keep the key-operated switch turned as far as it will go to the right.

▶ Switch off the service mode using the “power off“ command.

The KaVo logo and "Please wait" message appears on the touch screen display.

The notebook displays the DOS prompt to enter DOS commands.

If the key-operated switch is released, the KEY Laser will switch off after approx. 30

seconds.

The following appears on the service notebook:
