2.3 Electrical system
Note
All optical components (resonator, deflection mirror, pilot laser, input block and
laser hose) must be mounted and adjusted according to the assembly instructions
before the offset can be checked or adjusted with the "mounted distance standard."
▶ Check the pilot laser settings:
Use the "Coherent Laser Check" to remeasure the output of the pilot laser at the
exit window of the hose.
Unmodulated in service mode: 1 mW
Modulated in detect mode: 0.2 mW
▶ Check Diagnodent Values:
In user mode with laser handpiece P2061 and light wedge 1.65, program "11
Periodontol. 2061 gr.K."
Adjust the detector according to the instructions for use.
After adjustment, the momentary value must be "00" when the handpiece is di‐
rected to the floor.
Place the "mounted distance standard" on the light wedge and shove it up to the
handpiece. Check the instantaneous value.
Target: 7 ±1
▶ Adjust when the setpoint is not reached:
The offset can be adjusted with potentiometer R22 of the "KEY3 Diagnodent
electronics".
Then readjust the detector according to the instructions for use.
