Rear Window
Removal
The rear window is fitted with a safety device to allow escape
in emergencies. Pullng ring

extracts rubber seal

from the
window frame, allowing the window to be pushed out. To
remove a cracked window or renew a damaged seal, follow
the same procedure, but use glazing cups to hold the
window. This allows it to be lifted out, rather than pushed out.
Replacement
Note:
Make sure the pull ring is inside the cab, at the centre
of one of the window edges and easily accessible to the
operator.

Fit the glazing rubber to the panel edge allowing for a
small overlap before cutting.
2 Press both ends together, then push back on to the
panel ensuring correct location.
3 Beginning at a lower corner, carefully place the glass in
position. The use of glazing suction cups will simplify this
operation.

Engage the glass into the seal using a glazing tool Part
No. 992/01100 as shown.

Remove the hook from the glazing tool and fit the correct
size eye for the filler strip. Thread the filler strip through
the eye and handle as shown.

Start half way down the left side of the window. Insert the
tool eye in the filler strip channel and hold the end of the
filler strip in place. Begin drawing the tool eye round the
channel.
When you reach the pull ring, stop. Remove the filler
strip from the glazing tool. Pass the filler strip through the
pull ring and re-thread the filler strip through the eye and
handle of the glazing tool. Re-insert the tool eye in the
filler strip channel and, holding the filler strip in place,
continue drawing the tool eye round the channel.

When cutting the filler strip, allow sufficient overlap to
place the joint under pressure.
Use a spur tool to press home the joint and any small
sections of filler strip not correctly located.
