Chapter 11
11. CPU Board
11.1 Description
The CPU board contains almost all of the printer's electronic
circuitry including the serial and parallel communication ports, the
power supply, the memory card adapter, the cutter and wand
interfaces and the headlift sensor. In addition, an optional real-time
clock circuit (RTC) can be fitted in a socket.
The CPU board should be regarded as a complete replaceable unit.
Do not attempt to carry out any repairs or modifications to the CPU
board other than those described in this manual.
Warning
When working on the CPU board, take precautions to prevent
electrostatic discharges and use non-conductive tools to avoid
short-circuits.
Do not replace a blown fuse! If a fuse blows, a serious fault has
occurred and the entire CPU board should be replaced.
