In order to visualise a direct conversion of the physical switching outputs, the analogue speed
value is scaled to the range 0 . . .1 . This value can be mapped directly from the physical analogue
input to the 12-bit value of the CAN interface .
By moving the scaling into the logic, the programming of the controller becomes independent of
the device function .
