If the problem is not resolved after exchanging the FRUs listed, exchange the tower card. See
symbolic FRU “TWRCARD” on page 470 if it was not previously exchanged.

7. Are you working on an FC 5033, FC 5034, FC 5035, or FC 5077 frame?

v Yes : Re-IPL the entire system to restore resources. If the reference code 00AC prevails after the
IPL, then return here and continue with the next step.

An air-moving device (AMD) may be failing. Before replacing any field replaceable units (FRUs), verify that
all cables are seated correctly.
Perform the following to determine the part number for the failing air-moving device. The address of the
failing frame and unit is shown in the second, third, and fourth characters of the four leftmost characters of
the system reference code (SRC). For example, 11-x xFFU-xxxx, where F=frame and U=unit.
1. Is the failing air moving device in a system unit?
v No : Go to step 2 (See page 273).
v
Yes : Find the model and reference code in the following tables to determine the failing AMD. Then,
see Locations and addresses for the model you are working on to determine the location of the
failing item, information on the part number, and a link to the remove and replace procedure.
