transfer

/var/local
directory

Drag
the
compressed
files
to
the
left
pane
destination
directory
desired.
This
can
be
the
writable
CD
directory
if

sending

Close

file
transfer
session.

If
necessary,
repeat
for
all
FSG
nodes.
The
file(s)
can
then
be
e-mailed
to
the
IBM
Support
Center
for
analysis
or
burned
onto
a
CD
for
mailing.
Manual
offload
Ensure
the
files
and
directories
to
be
offloaded
are
in
a
directory
where
the
user
ibmce
has
read
access
(for
example
/home/ibmce).
Multiple
files
can
be
combined
put
in
one
file
with
tar
–cvf
<output-file>
<list
of
files
to
be
combined>
.
The
combined
output
file
can
be
compressed
with
compress
<filename>
.
If
you
have
LAN
access
to
the
DR550,
you
can
use
the
secure
FTP
function:
1.
Log
on
to
DR550
from
the
LAN
with
user
ibmce.
2.
Change
to
the
directory
where
the
files
to
be
offloaded
are
located:
cd
/<directory>
.
3.
Start
the
secure
FTP
client
(sftp)
and
specify
the
LAN
address
where
the
files
should
be
offloaded
to:
sftp
<ip-address>
.
4.
In
the
sftp
shell
enter
the
command:
put
<filename>
where
<filename>
is
the
name
of
the
file
to
be
offloaded.
5.
To
end
the
sftp
session
enter
quit
.
6.
Log
off
from
DR550:
exit
.
If
there
is
no
LAN
access
to
DR550
possible,
files
can
also
be
offloaded
to
a
DVD-RAM:
1.
Log
on
to
DR550
with
user
dr550.
2.
Insert
a
DVD-RAM
into
the
CD/DVD
drive
of
the
System
p.
3.
Change
to
the
directory
where
the
files
to
be
offloaded
are
located:
cd
/<directory>
.
4.
Write
the
directory
content
to
DVD:
mkdvd
–r
/<directory>
-d
/dev/cd0
where
the
directory
includes
the
files
to
be
offloaded.
5.
Remove
the
DVD
and
log
off
from
DR550:
exit
.
