Insert an audio recording:
You can take audio notes by using the microphone in your mobile device and link the audio
notes to your written notes. This is especially useful when you need to capture a lot of
information, but typing on your mobile device proves too cumbersome.
· Click Menu, and then select Insert Recording.
· To begin recording audio notes, select Record.
NOTE: To cancel, select Menu, and then select Cancel.
Play back an audio recording:
In your notes, position the cursor over the audio recording icon to select it. Selected objects
are shown with a thick, red border.
· Press the Action key on your device.
Synchronizing your mobile notes with OneNote on your computer
To synchronize notes between your mobile device and your computer, do the following:
· Connect your mobile device to your computer through the USB cradle.
When the connection is established, do one of the following:
· In Microsoft ActiveSync on your computer, click Sync.
· On your mobile device, select Start, select ActiveSync, and then select Sync.
During synchronization, your mobile notes are copied to a new Of fi ce OneNote 2007 notebook
called OneNote Mobile on your computer. When synchronization has completed, you can drag
your transferred notes into any other sections and other notebooks on your computer.
TIP: To make synchronization automatic, in ActiveSync on your computer click Tools > Options and set
up the Schedule tab.

The Global Positioning System (GPS)
Your i-mate 810-F device can use the worldwide Global Positioning System (GPS). Accessing
signals from a constellation of at least twenty-four medium Earth orbit satellites, the GPS
receiver built into your device obtains data from which navigation software can determine the
receiver’s location, speed, direction, and time. To use the capabilities, you need to add some
navigation software and maps.
