User Manual
Create a new document
·
Tap Menu > File > New.
Send a document
To send to another device nearby, you may use Bluetooth beaming.
1. Tap the
fi
le you would like to send to another device.
2. Tap Menu > File > Beam.
3. Select the device to which you want to beam the
fi
le.
Send via a messaging account
You may send the
fi
le via email or MMS to another user.
1. Tap the
fi
le you would like to send out.
2. Tap Menu > File > Send via Email.
3. Choose the account from which you wish to send the
fi
le (e.g. Outlook, Hotmail, MMS, etc).
4. Type in the recipient address into the email. The
fi
le is already attached.
5. Tap Send.
TIP: Work in full-screen mode to see as much of your document as possible. Tap View > Zoom and
select a percentage so that you can easily read the document.
Unsupported features in Word Mobile
Word documents created on your PC can be opened and edited on your device. However, Word
Mobile does not fully support some features, such as revision marks and password protection.
Some data and formatting may be lost when you save the document on your device.
The following features are not supported in Word Mobile
·
Backgrounds. These are not displayed or saved by Word Mobile.
·
Bi-directional text. While Word Mobile will open documents containing bi-directional text, the indentations and
alignment may be displayed and saved incorrectly.
·
Document protection. Using Protect Document on the PC can protect Word documents from unauthorized changes.
Word Mobile does not support displaying
fi
les that have been protected in this manner.
·
Meta
fi
les. These are not retained by Word Mobile; instead, a graphical representation of the object will be displayed.
·
Page borders. Lined page borders are supported; however, artistic page borders are not. The graphics will be
converted to lined borders.
·
Password-protected
fi
les. If a password to open has been speci
fi
ed for a document, it cannot be opened in Word Mobile.
If a password to modify has been speci
fi
ed for a document, it can be opened in Word Mobile but cannot be modi
fi
ed.
·
Shapes and text boxes. These are not displayed or saved by Word Mobile.
·
Smart tags. These are not displayed or saved by Word Mobile.
