CO/PABX Connections
z
Make your CO line connection to the telephone company on this
connector. Pins 3 and 4 of the connector are for the CO line.
z
RJ-11C (2 wire) modular connector is required.
z
2-conductor wiring is required.
ISDN S/T Connections
z
Make your CO line connection to the telephone company on this
connector. Pins 3 to 6 of the connector are for the CO line.
z
Cable: Twisted 2 pairs
z
Connector Type: RJ-45 (4 wire) modular connector is required.
z
Connector PIN assignment: (Pin 1, 2, 7, 8 are reserved.)
z
Install/remove the terminators by adjusting the jumper JP1 (A, B, C) and JP2 (A, B, C) on SIU card.
If there is no other ISDN device connected after the ISDN interface of SIU card when using point to
multi-point connection, this ISDN interface port needs the terminator installed. Otherwise, remove
the terminator.
Example:
The following is the point to multi-point connection.

The 1st ISDN interface needs the terminator because there is no other ISDN device
connected after this ISDN interface of SIU card.

The 2nd ISDN interface does not need the terminator because there is an ISDN Modem
connected after this ISDN interface of SIU card.
