Viewing Network Settings
Displays information for how your HP Media Vault connects to the network.
To view network settings

At the computer, click
Start
,
All Programs
,
HP Media Vault
, and
then
Control Center
.

On the
Tools
tab, click
Customize HP Media Vault
.
You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one
up. For additional information, see
Editing System Settings on page 2-26
.

Click the
Network
tab to view settings.
The following network settings information displays.
•
Workgroup name
The name of the Windows workgroup that all of your computers belong
to.
•
Secure HTTP
Remote access to shared folders or Webshare on the HP Media Vault is
faster using HTTP. However, some Internet service providers require secure
HTTP. If secure HTTP is enabled on your Media Vault, you must type
HTTPS:\\servername when accessing the Media Vault remotely.

IP Settings
, either automatically or manually assigned
