functionality.
If you are not a member of the home network, your user account was
probably set up as a Webshare visitor. Type your personal user name
and password to open Webshare. For additional information on
Webshare visitor accounts, see To Create or Edit Visitors on page 3-
39 . Contact your Webshare administrator if you have problems
logging on.

Browse Files —You are prompted for a user name and password. If
you are browsing public shared folders, type your personal user name
and password. If you are browsing private shared folders, type the
name of the private shared folder for the user name and the password
for the folder. If you are using a combination of public and private
shared folders, be careful to type the correct user name and password
for the shared folders you want to browse. For additional information,
see Editing a Shared Folder on page 5-65 .
Browsing Files Remotely

Open a browser and type your personal web address.
For instance, if you registered
MyFamily.hpshare.net
for your HP
Media Vault, you would use this address to connect to your server using
remote access. You are directed to the HP Media Vault home page.

Log in with your user name and password.

Private shared folders—Type your user name and password that were
set up in the HP Media Vault. For additional information, see Creating
a User on page 4-55 or Editing a User on page 4-56 .

Public shared folders with passwords—Type the shared folder name as
the user name and the shared folder password that was set up in the
HP Media Vault. For additional information, see Creating a Shared
Folder on page 5-63 or Editing a Shared Folder on page 5-65 .
