Installation of Client Software
To setup a computer to be protected by the appliance, the user needs to download the
client software. This can be found at http://<Appliance_Name>/agent or
http://<Appliance_IP_Address>/agent
Client agent installation is initiated when the client views the client install web page,
which is based on the appliance. The client machine is automatically set up with the
default options. The recommended browsers are
Internet Explorer 4
,
Netscape 4
, or
more recent versions of the two.
If there is a problem, what symptoms are there?
The install program displays the message "Insufficient disk space".
Insufficient network capability message received.
The web browser displays an error "Cannot find server".
The install program displays the message that disaster recovery will be
unavailable due to compression.
The agent setup download was very slow, but after the agent was installed,
the backup speed was very fast.
The AutoBackup Agent will not install on my windows NT/2000 client PCs.
