12 Click the Replacement Cause drop-down list. Select the reason for replacement. If
none of the options are applicable, select Other and enter your reason. Avoid using
Other as much as possible. If you must use it, give a specific reason for the PIP
replacement.
13 Click Replace . The impression counter for the blanket resets to zero.
14 Click Close . The Blanket window closes. The impression drum and the ITM drum
disengage.
15 Use the First Transfer Calibration wizard to adjust first pressure. See ‘First pressure
adjustment’ on page 128.
16 Perform the color adjust procedure.
17 Perform the print cleaner procedure.
Cleaning the blanket
Even though the blanket transfers all the ink from the PIP to the substrate, a small amount
of residue can remain on the blanket. This is primarily a result of blanket aging.
Before beginning the procedure, make sure to have the following items:
z imaging oil
z lint-free wipe
z blanket scraper
z thermal gloves
Note Only clean the blanket when necessary. Do not clean non-contaminated areas.
Use the following procedure to clean the blanket:
1 Fold the lint-free wipe four times.
