1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (

).
2.
Remove the access panel (
Access Panel on page 48
).
3.
Lay the computer on its side with the front facing toward you.
4.
Remove the front bezel (
Front Bezel on page 49
).
5.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
6.
Remove the three screws that secure the speaker to the inside of the chassis, and then lift it up
and out of the chassis while threading the cable through hard drive cage bracket.
To install the speaker, reverse the removal procedure.
Be sure to route the cable back through the hard drive cage bracket and the clip on the side of the optical
drive cage.
