Specifying the length of the test

Setting the resynchronization level

You can set the threshold at which aurora

Tempo

will

automatically resynchronize to the received Bert pattern.
This threshold is expressed as a percentage of errors within a
100 millisecond time period.

•

Choose

Sync. threshold

to display a sub-menu and

select the appropriate percentage of errors.

Specifying a pass/fail measure

You can set the criterion which establishes whether a BER
Test passes or fails. To do this :

•

Select

Pass Measure

to display a sub-menu of different

measures.

•

Choose the measure which will be used to determine if
the BER Test passes or fails.

Setting a BERT pass threshold

In addition to setting a pass/fail measure, you can also set a
pass/fail threshold for a BER Test :

•

Select

Pass-threshold

to display a sub-menu of

thresholds.

•

Choose the appropriate threshold. For example, select

1 in 10ˆ2

to set the threshold as 1 in 10

bits.
