The ISDN

earer channel.
Bandwidth
The range of frequencies a channel or line can carry. For a
digital channel this is defined in bits. The greater the
bandwidth, the greater the information-carrying capacity of
the channel.
Basic Rate
Type of ISDN circuit typically used for subscriber circuits. It
consists of two B channels and one D channel = 144 Kbps of
bidirectional user communications.
Baud Rate
The number of line signal transitions per second - in other
words, the rate at which data is transmitted over the serial
port.
